On the flavour trail of the Ile de Ré


When you combine the pleasures of biking with the pleasures of tasting.

On this one-day tour, you’ll discover the different terroirs for which the island is famous, including salt, wine, oyster and bee farming. The scenery is sure to delight.

A day full of charm and discovery awaits you!

This tour includes :

    • A meeting with a wine grower and oenologist, where you’ll exercise your olfactory talents in a friendly scent game, then taste 4 vintages before gathering around a table with an aperitif board and wine from the estate
    • A meeting with a beekeeper to discover the world of bees and taste the fruits of their labour
    • A meeting with a salt producer to discover the richness of this « white gold » so dear to the island
    • A meeting with an oyster farmer, where you can sample some delicious oysters accompanied by a glass of local wine
    • A tasting of one of the by-products of winegrowing on the island: a delicious dessert to round off your visit

This tour doesn’t include :

    • Lunch sandwich
    • Bike hire
    • A bottle of water, sun cream and a hat to protect you from the heat

    • 9am to 5.30pm/6pm

What to bring: During the summer months, it’s best to bring a hat, sunglasses and possibly a small bottle of water to protect yourself from the heat. In winter, bring a coat and hood to cover up against the cold and rain!
